We all know it– ACNE. It can strike even after your teens! Here are some quick and easy home-made recipes you can whip up that might save you from the occasional acne flair up!
Yogurt Acne Remedy
Can you believe that this recipe you can either apply this to a pimple or drink it to cleanse your digestive system? Remember if used topically, only use it one pimples (and it WILL tingle a bit) because of the acidity from the garlic.
1/2 cup of plain yogurt
1 tsp of baking soda
1 or 2 cloves of garlic crushed to a paste
1 cup water
All you have to do is add the yogurt, baking soda, and garlic and let sit for six hours. Then, add boiling water to mixture. Whisk vigorously. Strain with cheesecloth to remove pieces of garlic. Be sure to Let cool before using. Viola!
This is a nighttime cream that will help calm breakouts and clear up pimples by balancing the pH of the skin.
2 tablespoons aloe gel
3 ounces grape seed
1 ounce liquid lanolin
(and if you have it in the house 2 ounces rosewater)
Combine aloe with oil and beat together using a whisk. Whisking to work out the arm muscles of course. Then, in a glass bowl over a pan of hot water, melt liquid lanolin into the mixture. Remove from heat and cool. Then if you have rosewater, add it in now. Store in a cream jar and use at night as an ointment for combating blemishes.
